Adults meet in Bob’s office at 9:30 a.m. to continue the series on Jesus’ Parables…this week the parables of the Lost Sheep and the Lost Coin. This is a DVD series presentation by Rev. Ken Bailey. Bailey is a Presbyterian Professor of New Testament who was reared in the Middle East and served in Egypt, Lebanon and Jerusalem. To prepare, read Luke 15:1-10

The Pencader Presbyterian and Elizabeth AME Lenten journey in Christian friendship will include combined services on Maundy Thursday with a 6:00 p.m. Agape meal and Holy Communion at 6:45 p.m. and we will be joined by our Chesapeake City, First Presbyterian friends. Then Good Friday Tenebrae worship at 7:00 p.m. with special music by the Unity Choir of Pencader Presbyterian and Elizabeth AME Methodist churches. Then glorious Easter morning worship at 11:00! Yes, an Easter Egg Hunt will follow.
A Special Invitation -- members and friends of Pencader are invited to participate in a mid-week Lenten Bible Study led by Rev. Terry Vodery, associate pastor of Elizabeth AME church. Ms. Vodery’s Lenten study continues Wednesday, March 10, from 7- 8 p.m. in the Pencader sanctuary.
March 10 – Keeping Guard of the Tongue
March 17 – Practicing Time Alone with God
March 24 – Serving Others as a Way of Life
March 31 – Prayer and Fasting
In addition, the Lenten Devotional guide, Praying Through Lent with Heart, Soul, Mind and Body is available on the entrance table.

The winter term of Wonderful Wednesdays continues. This Wednesday Denise Marino prepared a delicious supper.
Next Wednesday. More Fun. More Homework Help. More Food. Be a mentor, make a supper, play games with the children. Talk with the children about opportunities to assist, or Lucille Short, Don Keister or Ellen Forbes. By the way, next Wednesday, March 10, is the final day for the Winter Term of Wonderful Wednesdays.
Wonderful Wednesdays’ Spring Term Begins After Easter!
SINGING ALONE IN THE CAR IS FINE! But to sing with others is a special treat. Join us in the Pencader and Elizabeth AME combined/Unity choir. Rehearsals are Wednesday evenings from 7:00 until 8:30 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. Music studies include Good Friday and Easter anthems. More information? A Pencader Presbyterian Church - 300th Anniversary Event
Enjoy a Musical Celebration of Pencader’s Welsh roots.Sunday afternoon, May 2nd, at 2:30 p.m. A Bus Trip to Rehoboth Welsh Chapel, Delta, PA and participate in a Gymanfa Ganu – (That is a Welsh Singing Festival) led by James Casserino, director of Music Programs at Green Mountain College.
The Welsh Singing Festival is a traditional celebration of singing Welsh hymns in both Welsh and English. It is not a spectator sport. Everyone joins-in. Many call it a joyful noise to the Lord. Cost - $20. A sign-up sheet is posted on the church door. Billie Todd has details. Phone 732-4166 or

. A special treat – And not quite a surprise: On the bus trip we will be introduced to and sing for the first time the Pencader 300th Anniversary Hymn.
SUMMER DAY CAMP AT PENCADER
Here is a marvelous opportunity for children and youth of our church and community during the summer months. The Pencader Day Camp is an activity of the Children and Youth planning team. The camp will serve families with children Kindergarten age through 8th grade; operate from 8:30 a.m. through 4:00 p.m. with before-care and after-care provided. There will be a weekly fee. Special features of the Pencader Day Camp will be individualized attention and activities plus planned doings with parents. For example, each Wednesday Day Camp children and leaders will prepare a picnic supper for families. More information at www.pencaderchurch.org or talk with Ellen Forbes or Don Keister.
